So here is my review:
I received my book a few weeks ago (life has been busy) & it’s absolutely beautiful. The quality is fantastic & the images pop off the page, I do love a good gloss image. The software was easy to use but not quite as intuitive as others I’ve had experience with, but that could also be a familiarity thing. In hindsight I would have spent more time going through the features & working with their masks. There is one photo in my book that needed softening but completely my fault for not taking the time. I added $10 (USD) to my order & ended up with a 48 page, 12” x 8” Professional Line Photobook that has an Acrylic front & black leather cover back & spine. The Cover is about 5mm thick acrylic, I used one of my favourite photos taken in Malaysia of some teal wood work at an Indian temple, I’m not sure why I love the image, I just do. I’d read reviews that said not to use the inside of the front cover for a photo & I wasn’t sure if there would be a paper page in between like other photo books I’ve had experience with. So I just put my name & logo on the inside cover. With this type of Saal Digital Photo Book there is no paper page you just open it up to glossy photo paper (or paper of your choice. I personally think that the inside cover & front page could quite easily accommodate a 2 page spread & look fantastic. Although there is about 5mm from the paper to the edge of the cover, I'd just want to ensure that the back of the front cover could be black (or the same colour as your chosen cover. |
