Well, it was a big day for Rich anyway. This afternoon was his school sports carnival. Then after school he had his taekwondo grading, and even though he's only been going to lessons 3 times a week for a month & he's not all that proficient, he is now a yellow belt. It was a lot of fun to watch the grading & when the kids were sparing I had tears in my eyes form laughing.
The Wizard of Oz tonight was great. A tiny little theatre with children preforming, they did a excellent job. Oscar & Ella were in awe most of the way through it & loved every minute of it. They were completely taken by the Wicked Witch of the West. I explained to Ella that she melted when Dorothy threw the bucket of water over her, then at the end when the Witch came back out all you could hear was "SHE'S BACK, SHE'S BACK, THE WITCH IS BACK!" Even though we explained it wasn't real I suppose it's a hard concept for a 3 year old to understand, lol.
So glad we made the effort to go downtown (traffic is shocking in the evenings so it took us just under a hour to get there). Traffic on the way home was great and the kids were in bed by just after 9pm so all good.
